Junior Landcarer

SFLC's Junior Landcare program provides children the opportunity to play an active role in ensuring the safe future of their environment through activities that promote:

  • Awareness of environmental issues and sustainability

  • How to take meaningful action to restore, enhance and protect the environment and;

  • How to be active in their local community to be the next generation of Landcarers.

Junior Landcare activities provide age appropriate activities aligned to the school curriculum and cover topics such as food production, biodiversity, First Nations perspectives and waste management.  These programs help to bring sustainability and environmental education into homes, classrooms and communities across Australia so that children can experience hands-on learning on how they can care for their environment.

Southern Forest Community Landcare cares for land across the Boodja (country) of the Bibbulmun/Pibelmen, Minang and Kaneang Peoples, whose lands were never ceded. We feel honoured to live and work on this beautiful country and acknowledge the Traditional Owners' ongoing dedication to caring for country and sharing of knowledge.
